Congratulations!
See their winning entries below.
I’ve run labs for sixteen years,
Fixing gears and drying tears.
Bunsen flames that dance and pop,
Sparks fly hight – I never stop!
Physics, chemistry, bio, earth’s a blast,
Each on cooler than the last.
Lab techs sprint on speedy feet,
Dodging spills and juggling heat!
CONASTA 73 here I come,
Brisbane Sun learning lots of fun!
Pick me quick, I’m ready to share,
Science, laughter and Queensland air!

Unperturbed
There was movement in the prep room,
for the week had just begun,
trolleys all lined up against the wall.
Eager teachers waiting,
it was way too late to run,
I’ve been through this many times before.
CONASTA’s ‘round the corner,
it’s Brisbane’s turn to shine,
many things to learn, see and do.
The focus is on science,
and it’ll be just fine,
‘cos you’re never too old to learn a thing or two.
